Important Note - Please read:
PCI and PCI Full Text have been replaced by two new, improved services, Periodicals Archive Online and Periodicals Index Online, which have been available since the end of 2005. If you or your institution had access to PCI or PCI Full Text, you will be able to continue using these databases in their new form. Please click one of the buttons at the bottom to continue on to the new home page.
Users who previously accessed the full text of PCI Full Text and the complete index of citations PCI through the one interface (http://pcift.chadwyck.co.uk/) should be aware that these two components have now been separated.
- The Periodicals Archive Online site offers access to just the digitised journals from PCI Full Text. It has dedicated features for searching and viewing full text material.
- To search the entire index of citations, please use the Periodicals Index Online site. This includes records for all of the articles in Periodicals Archive Online, and links to take you straight to the full text are automatically included.
For your convenience, every page on these two new sites has a button at the bottom linking to the other.
Please note that the URLs for Periodicals Archive Online and Periodicals Index Online have also changed. Any bookmarks to the PCI Full Text home page should be changed to use this new address: http://pao.chadwyck.co.uk and those to the PCI home page to http://pio.chadwyck.co.uk. Changing your bookmarks will ensure that you do not need to view this page again.
Remember that, if you previously used the PCI Full Text site to access both the full text and the complete index, you will now have access to both of the new sites. If you want to choose one URL to use as the home page, we recommend Periodicals Index Online, as it provides access to the citations for the full text articles, with one-click linking to see the pages themselves.
Further information about Periodicals Archive Online and Periodicals Index Online can be found in the Information Resources area on either site:
